What is CPCA Victoria Branch?
The Centre for Philippine Concerns Australia (CPCA) - Victoria branch
is a part of the CPCA national organisation formally established
in November 1991 through the initiatives of some Filipinos who had a
history of strong commitment to social justice and human rights issue
before they migrated to Australia.
Mission Statement
Centre for Philippine Concerns Australia (CPCA) is a statewide organisation
of Filipinos in Victoria committed to a culture of community service,
respect for difference and shared vision and knowledge by representing
issues and advocating for a strong voice and active participation by
Filipinos in the whole community.
Latest Updates, March 2008
Multicultural Awards
Norminda Villanueva and Lerma Valencic, two Filipinas,
were among 100 individuals and organisations from across metropolitan
and regional Victoria who received Awards for Excellence in Multicultural
Affairs from the Australian Government for their outstanding service
to the state's multicultural community. The ceremony was held on
27 November at the Governor's house.
